The Alliance of Global Volunteer Organizations (AGVO) proudly participated as a mentor in the prestigious Climate Reality Leadership Corps Trainings held in Accra, Ghana, and New York City, USA. These global trainings, led by former U.S. Vice President and Nobel Laureate Al Gore, aim to equip individuals with the skills, knowledge, and networks needed to tackle the climate crisis effectively.
In Accra, West Africa, AGVO played a key mentorship role during the Climate Reality Training in November 2023. The event brought together hundreds of climate leaders from across the continent and beyond for powerful sessions on climate justice, renewable energy, and sustainable community solutions. AGVO’s leadership in grassroots mobilization and environmental advocacy was instrumental in supporting and guiding new leaders throughout the program.
Building on this momentum, AGVO was once again honored to serve as a mentor at the Climate Reality Leadership Training in New York City in April 2025. This global session convened thousands of activists, environmental professionals, and changemakers. AGVO continued its mentorship role, offering guidance, support, and encouragement to participants committed to leading climate action in their own communities.
AGVO’s participation in these high-impact trainings reflects its core mission: to empower communities and volunteers through education, capacity building, and climate action. By mentoring diverse individuals from across the globe, AGVO reinforces its commitment to building a more just, inclusive, and sustainable world.
