New York City — Schadrack Brix, a dedicated youth advocate and representative of the Alliance of Global Volunteer Organizations (AGVO), recently participated in the prestigious Global Youth Leadership Forum held at the United Nations Headquarters, New York University (NYU), and the Delegation of the European Union to the United Nations. The week-long event brought together emerging leaders from around the world for dialogue, policy exchange, and collaborative problem-solving on today’s most pressing global challenges.
Representing AGVO and his position as Administrative Assistant at Germany’s Federal Foreign Office, Brix joined a cohort of youth leaders committed to building a more inclusive, peaceful, and sustainable world. The forum provided a platform for in-depth discussions on global governance, peacebuilding, climate action, human rights, and multilateral diplomacy, with direct engagement from diplomats, academics, and fellow youth activists.
“It was an amazing experience in New York City at the UNHQ, NYU, and the Delegation of the EU, alongside inspiring young people from around the world. Great energy, awesome week!” Brix reflected.
AGVO’s representation at the forum underscores its commitment to fostering global citizenship, empowering youth, and amplifying young voices in policy and advocacy spaces. As AGVO expands its international partnerships, opportunities like this strengthen the organization’s ability to influence global dialogue through leadership, volunteerism, and cross-cultural engagement.
The event highlighted the vital role of youth in international decision-making and the transformative potential of collaboration in addressing the shared challenges of our time.
