The Alliance of Global Volunteer Organizations (AGVO) is a transformative global network uniting volunteer organizations, grassroots changemakers, and civil society actors to drive sustainable development through community-led solutions. We believe volunteerism, equity, and collaboration are key to addressing the world’s toughest challenges—from climate change and poverty to gender inequality and education gaps.

To strengthen volunteerism, build capacities, and foster strategic partnerships that enable inclusive development and accelerate the achievement of the SDGs across Ghana, Africa, and the global community.
How it Works
1. Executive Leadership AGVO is guided by a dedicated Executive Board of Directors and Advisory Board with expertise in global development, volunteerism, and strategic governance.
2. National Chapters & Regional Hubs We operate country-level chapters and regional offices that localize AGVO’s mission and build strong national networks.
3. Volunteer Action Clusters (VACs) Thematic teams focus on areas such as:

4. Youth & Gender Platforms We empower the next generation of leaders and champion women-led solutions through the Youth Volunteer Corps and Gender Equity Circle.
